Guy Williams

A true veteran of the scene and now in his 21st year of professional DJ’ing.

Guy started playing out in 1993 in his hometown of Manchester, gaining spots at the Hacienda for the night “Flesh”, “Vague” in Leeds and “Trash” in Sheffield.

He then became resident at Manchester’s Holy City Zoo in 1995 before a move to London in 1997 to become promotions manager at Jive and then Defected Records.

In November 2002 Danny Tenaglia personally invited Guy to play at his Be Yourself night at Arc, NYC. By 2003 he was selected by Radio 1 to do the “Essential Mix” drawing a massive response which raised his profile even more.

The list of residencies and appearances since is stuff of legend. Parties such as: “The Gallery” and “Together” at Turnmills, “Misdemeanors” and “Superchumbo” at The End, Gatecrasher at Heaven, Ministry of Sound Saturday Sessions and The Pin-Up Club in Sheffield are just some of the stand-out parties on what is a very long and envious CV.

Guy is a very hardworking promoter in his own right having launched “Black Rabbit” with Justin Robertson in 2007 followed by “Paradise 45” with Thomas Gandey of Caged Baby/Southern Fried fame and is behind the massive West Side Story Carnival parties in west London over two days of the August bank holiday weekend.

More recently Guy has held a residency at ‘Sketch’ in Mayfair, launched SHADE with Josh Caffe and held a number of rocking parties at the Ace hotel London.

Guy is also a dab-hand when it comes to music production. As well as solo efforts, he is one half of “Paradise 45” with Thomas Gandey and also nu-disco act “The Shack” with Dan Williams and has had a number of solo releases out on various labels including DTPM Recordings/Wax Habit & Southeast Recordings.

In September of this year guy teamed up with legendary producer D Ramirez and their ‘Motherload ep’ was signed to Great Stuff (Berlin) and reached the top 30 of both the Beatport and Traxsource Charts.
